Why is Good Friday called "Good"?
"Not because an innocent man was falsely accused, and not because an innocent man was unjustly charged, and not because an innocent, perfect, sinless man was put to death horrifically.
Good Friday is called "Good" because Jesus Christ the innocent and blameless One took sinful mans' place on the cross that we might be forgiven, freed from the domain of darkness, and counted righteous, greatly loved in the sight of God."
Now that is "Good" for all those who have placed their faith in Christ alone, not in themselves.
