The Christian's business...

When a war rages around a soldier, it is far too easy to get distracted from the most important orders that his commander orders him to carry out. Yet he must rely upon the orders of his leader. He must trust that those above him have information about the enemy that he does no have. The soldier must not allow the thunderous explosions, the shaking of the earth under his feet, to distract, or paralyze him from following the orders of his commander. And so it must be with the true Christian. He is not his own. He has been bought with a price. He is now the Lord's possession, the Lord's responsibility, and the Lord's soldier. He is one who responds to His Commanding Officer "Yes Sir. Not my will, but Your will be done."

Are you one who has been bought and paid for by the very blood of Christ? Then you are Christ's servant, left on this earth to do His will, not your own.

I cannot answer for you, but I have some praying, and listening to do, that I may hear and obey the voice of my Commander in Chief...JESUS CHRIST.

Notes...

As the turmoil in the world increases, as the political rivals wrestle for what may be the most important election in our nation's history, the Christ- ian must not lose sight of the truth. We have been told by our Savior Himself that "In this world you will have trouble, but FEAR NOT, for I have overcome the world."

Our sure hope is in Jesus, not the candidate that we vote for.

Let us vote as faithful citizens, and let us rest, assured in our faith that God has promised that we would have not only trials, but everlasting victory in Christ alone!

"Be faithful unto death, and I will give you life." (Rev. 2:10)
